Wil not install

Attempted to install and error message says “not shareable” Please fix!

App won’t download

I loved this app on my previous mac. After upgrading to El Capitan it won’t download. I contacted apple and they said it was a known issue on the store.

Great! Get this!

So frustrating to be thinking and have your machine start to go to sleep like it’s bored. This app works really well, is reliable and doesn’t interfere with anything. Highly recommended!

Not working on El Capitan

Everytime I try to download this app Mac App Store says: “Caffeine failed to download.”

Doesn’t download on El Capitan

I LOVE Caffeine and have been used to having it on my Mac for YEARS. With the newest update, it unfortunately doesn’t work anymore and “fails to download” I really hope you guys find a way to fix this bug! My computer going to sleep on me is the WORST!

Retina Please?

The app functions exactly as it should, but it would be awesome if the developers would optimize it for the Retina display. All of my icons look nice and crisp except Caffeine — it looks grainy and dated.

Useful but showing its age

Right click on it and the background stays blue… some other little odd things like that. I’d love to pay a buck for this if they fix those things up.

Caffeine now working in El Capitan 10.11.1

After the El Capitan 10.11.1 update, Caffeine successfully downloaded and installed successfully. I love this app and glad that it is working again with the new OS X update.

Like love…

I notice this was released back in 2010. Like love, not sure why it took so long to find you.. but I’m glad we finally connected. Thank you so much.. My programs and SQL statement updates with my clients mainframes systems thank you as well…Nothing worse then falling asleep and waking up to a parcial update and program abortion due to my Mac deciding to simply shutdown because I went to sleep… smh… Love it…

Wonderful App

This was one, if not the first, app that I ever downloaded when I switched over to OS X. Haven’t left, or had a single problem with it since. I use it on all of my Macs, as I don’t like it when my monitor goes to sleep, dims, etc. by itself randomly. WIth caffiene all I have to do is have it automatically enable on start up and I’m good to go. I simply use a corner hot spot to start my screen saver whenever I leave my computer.

Works but not that useful

I thought if I put the Macs display to sleep it would prevent the OS from sleeping. Guess not. Much less useful to me, then. Uninstalling...

Worth every penny!

Honestly, I’ve been using Caffeine since it was free back around 2010 (or earlier). It is worth every $1 just to have this simple way of keeping your screen from dimming. Never gave me a problem. As a programmer and a tech person for many clients, I know how things tech-wise are never usually as simple as we may want them to be. This app proves that sometimes you have an app that just works the way it says it will. Simple. Elegant. Cheap. Do yourself a favor and spend the $1. You won’t regret it.

No Frills

This app does what it suggests and little else, and that is a good thing!

I like it because

I listen to internet radio allot as I have great speakers and dismal local radio stations. I keep my display sleep on 1 minute and use Caffeine to put my display to sleep or on to do netflix or work or whatever. I use the app every day and often so some of the critiques I’ve read here don’t apply to me. It’s one of the most useful apps I’ve ever gotten for free. And that is my review so put that in your hash pipe and smoke it, Bingo.

Simple, and great!

Caffeine is the a great example for simple and elegant. The team found a need, wrote an incredibly simple app to resolve it, and has clearly gotten a lot of great feedback from that work. The only thing I would like to see is the coffee cup image upgraded so that it does not look so pixelated on a retina display. Still a 5 star app, this is nothing against the functionality, just aestetically could be better...

Tiny app but very helpful

Caffeine is a tiny app but very helpful. I love it!

Awesome

It’s great, I use it all the time. Just one tiny bug that gets on my nerves more than it should: when I right click the icon to set the time interval (how long Caffeine should keep my computer on), the icon gets a blue backgrounds that stays until I exit Caffeine and open it again. It has no bearing on the functionality of the app, but I wish that blue background would go away. If that bug is fixed, I’ll give it 5 stars.
